Simply put, I was a skeptic.

I had injured myself working as a carpenter and suffered with thoracic pain. Going to the chiropractor changed my entire life. I returned to work quickly without pain and began considering my education in a whole new light.

Dr. Stanley’s Education

While attending the University of Texas at Austin, I worked during the summer as a carpenter to pay for school. I originally was a pre-dental/business major. After injuring myself and subsequently being treated by a chiropractor I decided to change my career path and become a chiropractor. Health care through natural means made sense to me early in life.

It was a difficult decision at first to leave one of the top ten business schools in the nation and move to Dallas, Texas to pursue my education at Parker College of Chiropractic. However, coursework like histology, embryology and physiology quickly captured my attention and I never looked back. Easily the best decision of my life.

I graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1995. I have been practicing chiropractic for over 14 years. Since he began practicing chiropractic, Dr. Brian Stanley has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care.

Dr. Tyan Payne

I was born to be a chiropractor.

I was born while my father was receiving his chiropractic education, so I figure it was just meant to be. I grew up being adjusted and seeing and hearing stories of cases from my father’s office. Initially I thought I wanted to be an attorney but after doing an internship at a law office while in high school I realized that a profession consumed with conflict was not for me. I considered emergency medicine but I wanted a family someday and knew the schedule was not conducive to family life. I finally came full circle to the profession I had grown up around. It was a perfect fit – helping people get and stay healthy and having a schedule to fit family life.

Dr. Payne’s Chiropractic Education

I went to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. I chose this school because of the reputation it had for a quality education in doctoring and in running a business. I knew that to continue to have the opportunity to practice and help patients the business would have to function well. The hardest class for me was organic chemistry. I loved the anatomy and physiology classes.

I graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1995. Prior to studying at Chiropractic School, I attended University of Alaska and received a Bachelors of Science degree in anatomy from the Parker College of Chiropractic. I have been practicing for over 18 years. Since I began practicing chiropractic, I have kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that my patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care.

Wasilla Practice Philosophy

The overall operating philosophy of my practice is to treat my patients like they are a member of my family. What that means to me is telling them exactly what care they need and delivering that care knowing that I will see that patient again and will always be held accountable. My practice involves caring for recently injured patients as well as those with longstanding problems. Acute patients typically achieve correction of their problems. Chronic patients typically find functional relief such as less pain and better movement even if the longstanding underlying problem can’t be completely corrected because of the length of time that has passed. One of the most satisfying parts of practice for me is seeing a patients true personality emerge. Often the first couple visits a patient is in such pain that they are a bit grumpy and out of sorts. As their pain levels decrease and their function increases their true, much happier, personality shines through. This is when I know we’ve rounded a corned and are on the right track.

Dr. Payne With Her Family

I have lived in the Valley since I was 2 years old. My parents and only sibling still live here. I am married with 4 children ages 10, 10, 7, and 4. My husband and children are the light of my life. I love my patients but I LOVE my family. My husband and I met at church, isn’t that where your parents always say you should meet your spouse! At this point with my children so young I truly find that my kids are my hobby. Any free time I have I like to spend with them. We love to go camping and fishing. My community involvement relates mainly to church service.

I receive chiropractic and massage care on a regular basis. I find it quickly fixes any issues I have and keeps me going strong when I’m feeling good. To enhance my own health I take a multivitamin and try to limit my intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates. I exercise three days a week by participating in the Wasilla Waves Masters Swim Club.

Enough about me! How can we help you improve your life with safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so you can take your first step towards better health.
